3rd annual girls trip {park city, utah}

so I'll start off by saying that i LOVE park city, Utah. it is one of the most beautiful cities in the US by far! Our girls trip stared out Wednesday night after work for ashley and me. My dad took us to the long beach airport where security took longer than a marathon!!!! we got into SLC an hour late. Danielle picked us up around midnight, we got to her house and just went to bed.



Thursday we loaded up around 11, grabbed some Cafe Rio and picked Jillian up from the airport! We needed to buy Canyons tickets at a Costco because it was about $30 cheaper than buying from the resort, it literally took us 2 more hours to locate a Costco in the Salt Lake area. With 4 phones mapping and locating its a surprise that we ended up at a vacant lot in a residential area before we found a real one. We got to our place at the base of the Canyons resort around 4 or so, vegged out, went to the grocery store, came back got dolled up and went into town for some "Main Street Pizza and Noodle." (This is where argument #1 happened.) We went back to our hotel and went in the jacuzzi until some crazy guy kicked us out!!!!

Friday we woke up early and went snowboarding. It was me, danielle, and jill. Ashley stayed in, did some studying and relaxed! We had an awesome time! The snow was perfect, there were no lines, and it snowed on us just a little at the end of the day!

After snowboarding I had the idea to do Yoga. Our hotel offered it ever day at 4:45 so the girls and I did it! It was so relaxing and perfect after a day of riding. We went in the jacuzzi again, got back to get ready and went to Bangkok Thai for dinner! YUM! While there, the table of men next to us kept staring. Finally the dad asked if we were hispanic!!!! What the? Then he asked if we were Jewish because of our noses! We just laughed him off!



Saturday we had all scheduled massages at the hotel spa. It was fabulous!!!!! We all met up after to go in the steam room and then the jacuzzi for awhile after. We got ready for the day (now 2pm) and decided to go get mani-pedi's at a local spot rather than pay alot at the spa. It had been awhile for me so I loved it, to say the least. We then went to see Valentines Day, and then dinner (followed by argument #2). Since it was our last night we stayed up and played nertz for awhile.





Our room came equiped with A TON of alcohol, so we thought it would be funny if Danielle pretended to drink some, since she is the only one that has never tried a sip in her life!



Sunday was a long day. It started out with a HUGE argument (me against them) returned to the aiport for Jillian, back to danielle's for a few hours, back to the airport, another hour delay, and finally home at 9pm!

Back-tracking a bit: It was so pretty outside Saturday when it was snowing.

seriously LOVE the black apple, im really considering putting a bunch of these up in our bedroom/bathroom. i discovered emily martin and her blog via bleu bird vintage today and really fell hard!

my sweet man decided to take me snowboarding for valentines day! we had a blast hanging out all day up at bear mountain. we realized that we had never been snowboarding just the two of us! i was pretty excited to hit the parks this time, i havent really hit anything since a got a concussion a few years ago, but I grew some b@**& and did it!

saturday i spent half the day with grandma who has been slowly recovering from back surgery. I worked on a new project that im making for my sisters and me. it involves yarn pom poms and serious cuteness! cant wait to show you when im done!

saturday night we got dressed up like we were going to some fancy steak house in hollywood and went to pei wei! there was no way we were going to wait hours for some restaurant that overcharges and is so-so! after that we went to Verizon so G could get his new phone i got him turned on! Whoo-hoo what a night!

Sunday we went to Yoga at 10am, went to the grocery store, played 9 holes of golf and then went to the parents for a nice family dinner! it was nice because Jared and Hez were there AND Danielles fam was in from Utah!

Bear Mountain and Snow Summit are now owned by the same people so we took the bus over to summit after lunch!

i need some advice.....

i want to put up more art around the house, and what better way than to put up my photographs of my nieces and nephews, both my loves!!!!! im trying to decide what style i want though. these will all be in 8x10 frames in our guest room, prob get about 25 total, my 22 and G's 3!!!!! so they will all be close together on one entire wall forming a 5 x 5 grid. What do you think?

now i need to decide what style; infrared film (left) or 1960's look (right), these are only a few examples.

for the love of....

....valentines day. i have to admit that i was a true NON-believer of this holiday until G. i guess it's because i really had nobody i cared about that much to do anything for (sad face). So i'm not sure what we're doing this year, maybe nothing, but here are a few fun pictures to enjoy!
